Big News!!!!
I can now officially call myself a scrapbook designer!!!
I was honoured to be invited to join the Creative Team for a one year term at Scrapshotz , a Canadian monthly kit club I've been subscribing to for the last 3 years. I remember the day I talked to my husband and asked him if he'd be okay with me signing up for a monthly scrapbook kit club. Our 4th was just a few months old and this was one of my dreams come true, to join a kit club.
Now I'm designing for Scrapshotz and I'm so thrilled!
We are getting ready to reveal the creative team's work with the October kit:
Here is a sneak at one of my projects (it pretty much gives away the whole project but trust me, there is some other great stuff!):
Come see me in the Scrapshotz gallery on Friday evening for the rest of my projects and to see what the entire Creative Team has done with the kit!

Creative Escape Projects #1
Here are a couple of projects I did at Creative Escape this past August. The first is a gorgeous shadowbox designed by Janet Hopkins:
This next project is another home decor item designed by Heidi Lynn Scheiber:
This welcome project is the only project I actually managed to complete 99%.
Love that I get to find a home on the wall for these and be reminded of the great experience Creative Escape was for me.

Update!!!
Sooooo, I spent the last two days at the Great Canadian Scrapbook Carnival hosted by Canadian Scrapbooker!! I was working in the Scrapshotz booth and had a fantastic time!! The hours just FLEW by as we had minimal quiet times. Sandy has fantastic pricing-IMO and great product!!!
The best sellers-other than the clearance items and 2011 Christmas Card kits designed by Scrapshotz's own Jennifer Watson were the Smashbooks and anything Smashbook related; the Imaginisce Petal Roller; Ranger Distress Inks and Copics and stamps!
I even picked up a few goodies for myself, stay tuned for the results of those goodies and an annoucement in the next few days!!!

Project 12-July and August
Had fun catching up on Project 12 a couple of weeks ago.
Here's August, a very literal translation of the sketch :)
Here's July:
I love that blue cardstock!
Thanks for taking a look!

lovethislife-Kid
I came across the adult version at Aji Spa in Chandler, Arizona based on the recommendation of my new friends Lindsay and Sherry. Bought myself a t-shirt and then ordered some stuff on-line. Just received an email advertising the kids manifesto and had to share it here. Love this!
lovethislife Kid…
is about celebrating our moments
and how I rock to a rhythm all my own
and I just may teach you more than you teach me
and like you…I’m a miracle
lovethislife Kid…
is honoring that my dreams
aren’t obligated to fulfill yours
and since I had no say in being here
you’ll provide a safe space
where I can innocently unfold
even if I take up the drums
lovethislife Kid…
is the inevitable embrace
that all we are is Love
so unconditionally love me
while I imperfectly become Me
without promising you the same
when I hit my teens
lovethislife Kid…
as we grow together and apart
let’s rock.

Sketchy Thursdays 9.08
I was away on vacation for a couple of weeks and wasn't able to play along with Sketchy Thursdays. Happy to play along this week. Another great sketch, but really, when are they bad or uninspiring?? Never for me!!
I used Tattered Angels Glimmer Screens and Mist; Fancy Pants patterned paper; EK Success border punches; Jenni Bowlin banner stickers; MME alphas misted with Maya Road mist; The Twinery twine and of course Bazzil cardstock. I used pop dots to raise the "Gift" title and banner stickers.
journaling reads, "Uncle Jeff was excited to give Cole the gift he'd picked out for his birthday. Cole was thrilled with his Arizona Cardinals jersey. " Jan. '11

Transition
Well it's been a week of transition in our house. Mom back from vacation, kids off to school, mom and little guy alone together. Add to that the mounds of paper work to be completed and the bleeding bank account with school fees and it's been BUSY to say the least.
I finished most of my Creative Escape projects, yay!!!! Uploaded photos for printing, started a project 12 layout and have a MOUND of laundry to fold and I've been staying up late watching "America's Got Talent". I love my life, I am so blessed!!
