Scrap Shotz Reveal Tonight!!!

It's reveal night tonight for the Scrap Shotz June Kit which features the Bo Bunny Hello Sunshine line.

Speaking of projects there are a few I haven't yet shared here so here they are:

This one is super simple, cardstock, ribbon and a wee bit of patterened paper. Title is an Ali Edwards stamp.
Another fairly simple layout here. I used a bunch of different AC knock out punches on the Studio Calico patterned paper for this one.
All Teresa Collins except for the flowers, those are Prima which I misted.
This last one was fun to do. I cut out some of the diamonds from the EP paper and used a few as accents along the bottom. You can't see it very well but I also painted Gloss Glaze in some of the open spaces. The little diamond stickers are from the center of the Crate Paper border sticker.

Thanks for taking a look!

Cards...

At the recent Scrap Shotz National Scrapbook Day crop I picked up one of the card kits designed by the fabulous Jen Watson. I chose the masculine kit since I often seem to be short on those cards and spent an evening creating some Father's Day and birthday cards. I seriously barely made a dent in the kit supplies and created these 5 cards.

My favorite part of the kit is the chicken wire stamp. This kit isn't offered in the store right now any ways but the items are available individually. I have to be honest, I don't know what paper line the pp's are from but if anyone wants to know, leave me a comment and I will get the details!

I'm looking forward to making a bunch more cards with this kit.
Thanks for stopping by!

Another Memory File Project

Hi All!
I had a crazy week with lots on the go last week and getting ready for a weekend away with my oldest so no time to post until now and I have another Memory File project!
The Heidi Swapp Memory File was perfect for documenting my Creative Escape trip last August and even more fitting as the hostess of the event was none other than Heidi Swapp herself!
I busted out some Mr.Huey mist and Tattered Angels glimmermist and a couple of Colour Magic Memory Files.

This is the front of the memory file. I've added some Smash tape just under the CE title which was cut from my nametag from the event. I added a Heidi Swapp Sugar Chic banner and the Heidi Swapp fringe.
This is what the file looks like when you first open it. I have created photo flip books with cut down 6x12 page protectors, transparencies and Smash/Queen & Co. tape.

You can see the tape I've used to adhere the photo pockets together and to the base of the memory file. I got the idea from reading a post on Ali Edwards' blog although I likely would have executed it better if I'd actually read the tutorial she referenced on it ;)) .
The photos in this section are adhered to a color magic Memory File I misted and cut in half, then adhered  the halves slightly overlapped and a bit crooked to the base, so pretend it looks straight when you look at the photos ;) :)))
The final couple of spreads.
These are a couple of detail shots.

So this memory file project has a grand total of.............................................................................................

50 PHOTOS

I'm thrilled with that and finalling documenting this super fun adventure I had in AZ. All these products are carried at Scrap Shotz , great prices and customer service!!

Heidi Swapp Memory File Project

I was very intrigued by the Heidi Swapp Memory File products when I saw them. Luckily for me the Scrap Shotz May "No Limits" kit was full of this new product and much more was available via the add ons. I picked up a bunch of stuff and at the Scrap Shotz NSD crop I created this:

I documented our 2011 Christmas vacation and what I really like about this is that I can choose to put this in the memory file box I purchased which is totally cute or adhere this to cardstock and specially cute a page protector to open up and be interactive. I haven't decided exactly what to do with it yet.
I love how this turned out and am working on another project using these memory file products I hope to share by weeks' end.

Week In The Life 2012

**Long Post Ahead**
This is my third year participating in WITL and I must admit I wasn't sure if I really wanted to do it but when I was asked to work with the new Simple Stories Memory Works album by Scrap Shotz I decided it would work perfectly for this project!

The biggest difference between this year and previous years for me was putting the album together before the week of documenting began. I think I prefer having the base ready to go, similar to December Daily. I also limited myself to using only the Simple Stories "Documented" collection, no extra embellies or anything like that and that makes it quick to complete as well.

The album is 6x8 and I set it up with one 6x8 photo or thereabouts for the first page, followed by photos in divided page protectors which come with the album and insert pages which also are included with the album. The last page is the Ali Edwards journaling sheet, re-sized for this size of album so when I printed on it I had to print small :) .

I definitely have more journaling in this one than in previous years, probably not as many photos but I'm okay with that.

Here goes Week In the Life 2012:

Front Cover:
Title Page:
Monday, April 23
Tuesday, April 24
This page makes me smile because Cole decided he was going to fill it in for Mom.

Wednesday, April 25
I used a memorabilia envelope as a photo and journaling mat by opening it up.
Thursday, April 26
Friday, April 27
Saturday, April 28
Sunday, April 29
You'll notice I wrote absolutely nothing down on the final day...the photos also seem to get less and less as the week passes but I actually have more in here than it felt like I actually took.
