Card Creations

I wanted to share some cards I created a couple of weeks ago in an effort to use up some scrapping supplies. I love how these turned out and while I've never considered myself a "card maker", I have been enjoying whipping up cards. It feels good to put all those supplies I've collected to good use!

I love this card especially because the papers are Heidi Swapp "No Limits" which is NOT a Christmas line of papers :) (sentiment making memories rub on)
Patterned papers are American Crafts "Chap", sentiment stamps, Stampin' Up.

Thanks for looking :)!

Scrap Shotz Summer Kit *Authentique* Pt.2

In my last post I shared the layouts I created with the fabulous SSZ Summer Kit. Today I have the cards I created!
Now I do not consider myself a card maker but as a Creative Team member I like to challenge myself to create a few for each kit reveal and this kit has one sheet of paper that begs to be cut and turned into cards!

This card front is cut directly from one of the kit patterned papers. I used the Easy Bow maker to make this fabulous bow!

This next card features one of the stickers as the sentiment.
On this card I misted the cardstock base with the Studio Calico mask included in the kit, fussy kit on of the patterned papers and attached a MME brad as a the card sentiment.
This card features the kit patterned papers and the washi tape as well. The banner flag is a sticker also included in the kit.
This is a super simple card featuring the washi tape along with one of the blossoms included in the kit as well.
This final card showcases that patterned paper I started out with. Another easy to create card!
So there you have my card creations from the Scrap Shotz Summer Kit and if me, a non-card maker, can make fabulous cards like these; imagine what a card making guru can do with this kit!

Thanks for looking!

Scrap Shotz Summer Kit *Authentique*

The Scrap Shotz summer kit is full of lovely Authentique papers. The colours inspired me to scrap photos I have had sitting around for a couple of years. Here are the layouts I created:

I also created a bunch of cards and will share those later. You can check out the entire Creative Team's projects here.

A Scrap Shotz Challenge

Each month the Scrap Shotz Creative posts a new challenge here. My challenge for August is all about the photo mat and here is my layout:

I used multiple off set mats and also bordered them with navy twine which I glued down to create this mat for the photo of my son. The "base" mat is also misted with Candy Apple Glimmer Mist.

Here's a close up shot:
All supplies are from a previous SSZ monthly kit. Patterned paper and chipboard is by Little Yellow Bicycle, wood buttons are Prima and pearls are Queen & Co.
