Everyday Life...

The majority of my scrapbooking layouts focus on day-to-day events in our lives. It's funny but when we have a big family event like Easter, Christmas or a birthday I forget to take photos.
If I'm being honest, I can get tired of trying to find a new way to scrapbook those yearly events, maybe I need to challenge myself on those layouts next year???

In the meantime, here are a couple of recent layouts:

Mess Up Hair

Bedtime Story

On a scrapbooking weekend I basically threw a bunch of unused kits in my bag along with photos and limited myself to only those scrappy items. It sure made me productive not having my entire scrappy room to waste time searching for the "perfect" paper, colour, etc.
I comleted 19 layouts!! I didn't photograph them because, quite frankly, I was too lazy ;) so I'll be sharing just a few of them here :)).

This layout was for this challenge over at Scrap Shotz:

These papers just popped on the white, love how it turned out!

Scrap Shotz November Kit Reveal

Good Day All!

The Creative Team at Scrap Shotz unveiled our November kit projects just this past Saturday. This month's kit features the lovely Jillibean Soup Cold Avocado. There are also a number of add ons that coordinate with kit as well which you can find here.

I used my Cameo for this first project cutting the hexagons out of the card stock then backing the spaces with patterned paper. The larger hexagons are from the sticker sheet included in the kit.

The CT was asked to showcase the flashcards included in the kit so this layout is all about the flashcards! The words preprinted on them make them very versatile for many layout topics.

The green hexagons on this layout are done with a Studio Calico mask and Art Anthology Dimensional paint. The flowers are one of the kit add ons and the colours are perfect for these patterned papers. In hindsight I should have moved the flashcard down a smudge so you can clearly see that it reads "snapshot".

I also created a couple of cards and this first one was made with the small stamps included in the kit. I placed a number of them on an acrylic all at once then stamped multiple times to create a background.

I've seen this next idea for a Christmas card on Pinterest and wanted to try it. I may make a few more of these as they are super quick and easy.

You can check out all the Creative Team projects in the Scrap Shotz Gallery

Thanks for taking a look!
