Hello everyone, it's that time again...a new Project Life challenge is up at Stuck On U Sketches.
This challenge was timely for me as I had just finished punching out butterflies for a project for my kindergartener son so I had some extras on hand ;) .
I placed the small butterflies in the white space of an appointment reminder and carried a few upwards through two of the photos. The large butterfly is two chipboard pieces from Maya Road, the bottom solid butterfly is covered with white Art Anthology dimensional crystal paint. The "overlay" butterfly is misted with Dylusions mist and topped with Perfect Pearls mist.
I carried on the butterfly theme with the butterfly patterned paper I found in my stash.
Don't forget we've got a great prize up for grabs from our March Sponser:

Stuck On U Sketches Project Life Challenge
Welcome to the latest and greatest SOUS Project Life Challenge. We have a new prize up for grabs this month so submit your project for this challenge or any SOUS March challenge for a chance to win this
Head to the SOUS blog to add your project!
Now on to the challenge, this is a fun one especially if you're an 80's girl like me, it's to use
NEON
and here is my week 7 spread
It's a bit tricky to tell that the letter stickers are neon yellow but trust me they are ;).
The letter stickers and the washii tape strips on 2 photos are products by Heidi Swapp.
One of the things I like to do is to use the open spaces on photos for accents, journaling, etc. That is why I chose to add the neon washii tape to the photos. I also used one strip of washii tape to journal on.
Thanks for stopping by this week and I look forward to seeing your PL challenge projects!

Scrap Shotz March Creative Team Reveal
It's time to reveal my creative team projects for the March Scrap Shotz kit the fantastic Teresa Collins line "Hello My Name Is". Click on the preceding link to see all the kit contents and you can see the add ons here. You will not be disappointed if you are a Teresa Collins like I am and if you're not familiar with her products or on the fence, I think you will fall in love with this line!
So, on to my projects this month :)
First up is this layout which was inspired by the kit "polaroids" paper itself. I busted out my handy dandy square punch and went through my overflowing stack of photos to find photos of all of us that were perfect for the square punch.
I treated each frame as it's own separate space and placed either a photo, embellies, sticker, chipboard or stamped image within. I love how this turned out! I have a 12x12 frame in storage and I just may put this lo in it and hang it in my scraproom.
Next up is this layout based on the sketch provided by the Scrap Shotz sketch diva Jess Duerksen,
Now I have a special project I earmarked for this kit when I found out it was coming up. I found this frame at a local discount home store cheap ($10) as it had lost some of it's gems
so I thought it would make the perfect frame for our most recent family photo and replace the missing bling with a combination of rolled paper flowers, kit chipboard and add-on sequins & stickers. I added kit add-on wood elements to the kit chipboard & pp to complete the family photo home decor piece.
This was hard to photograph without getting the photographer in the reflection! Here's a close up!
Our CT showcase project was the Teresa Collins file folders included in the kit. I'm sure many people would use them for a mini-book but no 2 would look the same and that is how I used them as well. Here is my book of favorite photos from 2013:
The red ribbon was from a box of Crave cupcakes I purchased a few years ago. I layed the folders out after adhering the photos and punched two holes with my Crop-A-Dile (12x12 version) then threaded the ribbon through the holes to hold all the folders together and my mini-book was born!
Here are some of the inner pages:

I don't scrap photos of myself much but this line screams out to see the "voice" behind the camera! I have lots of photos of my mom before she was married but very few of her with or just when I was growing up as a child. It's important for the kids to have memories of their mom (&dad) at all stages of their lives. Now I have a special project I earmarked for this kit when I found out it was coming up.
