USE CHIPBOARD!

I inked chipboard from the October Add-On bundle and then coated with glossy accents and strung on gold thread for this scene of snowmen friends enjoying some time together outdoors.

I also added sequins, Krafty Dots and Liquid Pearls to the chipboard prior to adding the glossy accents.

Each and every Saturday we post a brand new challenge for the week and you are welcome to enter as many times as you like.

These must be new creations and you are welcome to use any stamp, however, using Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp products will earn you double entries!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Saturday Challenge #604 Use Patterned Paper

 Good Morning!

Welcome to another fun Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Saturday Challenge!

Krafty Girl Tamara is your host this week and the challenge is to use patterned paper!

I cut 1/8" strips from patterned paper in an add-on bundle and then glued to a die cut heart, trimming the overhang after.

I stamped the Let's Get Krafty image, coloured the girl with E50 Copic marker, then filled in with pencil crayons, fussy cut and layered over heart and glitter paper with foam adhesive.

I embellished with a few Pretty Pink Posh Confetti sequins.

This challenge makes it easy to use up patterned paper or really any paper scraps! 

Each and every Saturday we post a brand new challenge for the week and you are welcome to enter as many times as you like.

Altenew Paint-A-Flower: Rosa Floribunda Outline Stamp Set Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($200 in Total Prizes)

This is a gorgeous 4x6 stamp set featuring a lovely bouquet of flowers.

 

Watercolor with Dye Inks

I stamped the image on watercolor paper in Obsidian Pigment ink, coated with clear embossing powder and then heat set.

I chose ink colours that coordinated with this paper from the Poured Acrylic paper pack, smooshed the ink pad on to a craft mat, misted with water and then painted the blooms, letting the color flow outside the lines. Once dry, I applied clean water around the entire image and tore the paper. The splatters are made with Metallic Watercolor paint.

The patterned paper is embossed with the Ribbon Waves 3D Embossing folder and then adhered over A2 card base. Bouquet is adhered with Instant Dimension Foam Tape and sentiment is stamped and heat embossed on vellum.

Projects

I've die cut rainbow colors with the Flowing Foliage die set and left some of the negative pieces in place for more visual interest. The sentiment is die cut with the new Mighty Alphabet set from glitter card stock.

The Simple Shapes Cover Die is fantastic! You've seen so many ways to use it. I've kept this card simple, die cutting out of Gold Mirror cardstock and creating the sentiment with the Mighty Alphabet die set.

For this card I've die cut the frame two times from Gold Foil cardstock, rotated one 90 degrees and layered over the other.  I just love the font this sentiment die is in.

I've die cut the Flowing Foliage from glitter card stock and then glued over a debossed card front. Simple yet lovely and a great way to use all of the dies in the set. Sentiment is from the Way to Go set.

Altenew Craft Your Life Project Kit: Garden Rose Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in total prizes)

I think this is my favorite Craft Your Life Project Kit so far, the roses are STUNNING!!!

Projects

I used the coloring stencil to randomly stencil the base layer of the roses in Buttercream ink and Warm Sunshine ink. I then applied the stencil masks over the roses and added the leaves in Sweet leaf ink. Friend is stencilled in Teal Cave ink and then the panel is embossed with the kit 3D Embossing Folder.

I've used the stamps, stencils and stencil masks to stamp and color this arrangement of roses using just one layer of the layering stamps. The "thanks" sentiment is inked with the stencil and Jet Black ink, the sentiments above and below are from the kit stamp set.

This card is created the same way as the one above with the exception of the "hello" die cut which is from the Circle Greetings Hello die.

These next two cards were created from one 8 1/2" by 5 1/2" sheet that has been embossed over the center of the sheet, inked with Mixed Media Pigment Ink and trimmed into two card fronts.

Wide Dotted Washi tape is applied along the bottom and the sentiment is stamped on white card stock and adhered over a strip of gold foil card stock glued over the seam.

After stamping the outline layer of the roses in Jet Black, I added Pink Pearl with the coloring stencil and then stamped the layers in Coral Bliss and Vineyard Berry.

I've inked white card stock with Pink Diamond, Baby Pink, Razzleberry, Sunray, Lime, Sweet Leaf, Hunter Green and Minty Mint Crisp Dye Inks.

I used less than a full sheet of cardstock even using all these ink colors!

After gluing all the die cuts together I embossed watercolor cardstock with the the Blossoming Branches 3D Embossing Folder then added water and gave a light wash of Turquoise Watercolor Brush Marker. Once dry I added the die cuts and then some splatters with Jet Black and Desert Night Watercolor Brush Marker.

For the life of me I can not remember what hello die I used for this, I forgot to write it down, lol. A few clear drops add a nice bit of shine to the finished slimline card.
